Non-Dairy Non-Soy Cheese that taste good?

I got this question in an recent e-mail:
"Upon reading your blog, I learned that you don’t eat dairy.  We have recently tried to drop dairy as well. We love almond milk, but I haven’t yet found a cheese that I can stomach. Do you have any brands that you can recommend?"

My response:
I too have had a hard time finding a good non-dairy cheese. I found an okay soy-cheese before I knew about the dangers of soy but since then, I haven't tried any other non-dairy-soy cheeses. However, I have read online about a couple that are supposed to be the best. One is called Daiya and I like the ingredents that are in it and the other one is called Dr. Cow and it is actually treated like a cheese and aged.

There are only 3 Daiya cheese to choose from and there are something like 7 Dr. Cow cheeses. The Dr. Cow cheeses look strange like "Dr. Cow's Aged Cashew & Crystal Manna Algae Cheese" but the review I have read say that it is really good. I think most have said they prefer "Dr. Cow's Aged Cashew & Hemp Seed Cheese." I think I would try the Daiya cheese first because of the ingredients is more appealing and it is supposed to melt and I love grilled cheese and tomato soup!
